Brenda received her education in the Somerset County Public School system. After graduating from Somerset Jr. Sr. High School, Brenda married the late James Jennifer Brawner in the early 1960's. Brenda attended college in Philadelphia where she studied to be a Recreational Therapist. Brenda lived and worked in Philadelphia until she moved to Virginia Beach with her daughter, Tonya "Pebbles" Eikerenkoetter.
In her early years, Brenda attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church and was a member of the Voices of the Hill Family Choir until she moved to Virginia Beach. Brenda later moved back to Upper Hill, MD to be a caretaker to her aunt, the late Nellie Perry. Due to her untimely illness, Brenda had to relocate to Virginia Beach with her daughter.
Brenda had a very loving personality and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but most of all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brenda had two good buddies, Bruce and Precious, the family pets. Brenda was predeceased by her loving son-in-law, Carlos Eikerenkoetter and a sister, Sylvia Grant. Brenda was a very special person and she touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her daughter and devoted caretaker, Tonya "Pebbles" Eikerenkoetter; her loving grandson, Tevin Eikerenkoetter and step-grandson, Carlos Eikerenkoetter (Tabetha & daughter, Danae) all of Virginia Beach; her mother, Consola Milbourne of Princess Anne, MD; her brothers, Joseph Milbourne, Jr. of Princess Anne, MD, Alfonso Milbourne (Connie) of Salisbury, MD; her sister, Jeanette Milbourne of Princess Anne, MD; nieces and nephews, Shanitta Milbourne of Philadelphia, PA, Lisa Pittman (Andrew), Le'Roy Milbourne (Carol Ann), Marc Jones (Teau) and Janet Milbourne all of Princess Anne, MD, Andrea Wheatly (Freddie) of Hebron, MD, Tony Tilghman (Maxine) of Salisbury, MD, Tina Johnson (George) of Fairmount, MD and Takeshia Muhammad of Philadelphia, PA; two aunts, Francis Nisky and Dana Johnson both of Princess Anne, MD; one uncle, Kenneth Johnson (Carrie) of Philadelphia, PA; stepson, Melvin Whitlo of Princess Anne, MD; brother-in-law, Paul Brawner of Salisbury, MD; and a host of other relatives and friends.
