Ruth M. Bainbridge, 84, of Tower City, passed away Saturday at the Manor of the Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

Born in Orwin, March 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Katie Behney Minnich.

Ruth was a retired seamstress from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens.

Ruth was a very active member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a member and former president of the women's guild, elder in the Consistory and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Orwin Fire Company Auxiliary, a coordinator of the former Tower City Senior Citizens, a driver with the Meals and Wheels program in Tower City, a member of the former Daughters of America and the Republican Club.

Her life revolved around her family and helping others. She enjoyed her grandchildren and traveling.

She was predeceased by her husband, William R., in 1968; a daughter, Linda Kohr, in 1988; a brother, Clair Minnich; and two sisters, Elsie Kopp and Elva Snoody.
