Sudden Death
It is with sadness that we have to record the death of Mr. John W. Gianniny which occurred yesterday. He left his house in a hack accompanied by some friends, to cast his vote for Cleveland and Hendricks. He had gone but a portion of the way, when he complained of feeling very unwell. His friends returned with him to his home and he died of heart disease a few minutes after they got him home.
It will be remembered that Mr. Gianniny some months ago lost his leg in the service of the Charlottesville Woolen Mills, which, however had entirely healed, and his sudden death, as we are informed by his Doctor, was caused by the above mentioned disease.

Jeffersonian Republican, Volume 12, Number 30, 5 November 1884. P. 2, top of Col. 4.
