Obituary:

Willard Joseph Trosclair, born in Montegut, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for over 55 years, passed away on December 20, 2012 at the age of 85.

He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Eudora Pigott Trosclair; a son, Willard Trosclair Jr.; a daughter, Darlene Trosclair; a granddaughter, Rachael Trosclair; and a grandson-in-law to be, Jeffery Duvall. He is also survived by many other Family members including a sister-in-law, Rita (husbands, Evey "Pete" Trosclair and Bobby) Liner, and a boat load of friends that includes his beloved Barn Family where his love of horses was passed to his granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Andre and Ophelia Marie Rhodes Trosclair; 5 sisters, Wilma (husband, Guy) Bourg, Velma (husbands, Magnel Hebert and Dalton) Boudreaux, Vivian (husband, Pascal) Marcev, Onethia Trosclair, Olivia Trosclair; 4 brothers, Ivy "Roach" (wife, Ezeline "Zolin") Trosclair, Allie (wife, Bernice) Trosclair, Evey "Pete" Trosclair, and Andrew Trosclair.

He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church of Kenner, Louisiana; a retired offshore, oil field worker for Texaco with 46 years of service; and a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during war-time in World War II.

In his 50 years of brotherhood of Mason's seeker of knowledge pursuit's, Brother Willard, was elected to receive the degrees in Freemasonry at Grand Lodge of Louisiana F. & A. M., Lee E. Thomas No. 421; became a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Master Mason in the Valley of New Orleans, Orient of Louisiana; was a member of Shriners International, Shriners of North America, Jerusalem Temple Shrine's Motorcycle Escort Unit at Destrehan, Louisiana; and the New Orleans, Louisiana Farhad Grotto Motorcycle Escort Unit.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy. in Metairie, LA on Friday evening, December 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Masonic service at 7:00 PM and on Saturday morning, December 29, 2012 beginning at 8:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home's Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be at Knoxo Cemetery in Tylertown, MS on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
