The monthly business meeting of the Philathea Society was held Tuesday evening at the home of Miss Lena Nauman. The secretary, Miss Pearl Hungerford, sent in her resignation and Miss Miranda Larry was elected to fill the vacancy, with Miss Sophia Gantenbein as assistant. The class intends to take up the study of prominent authors at the next meeting, which will be held at the home of Miss Mary Chambers on Tuesday, October 25.

The Philathea Club of young ladies, from the Second Baptist Church, met at the home of their Sunday school teacher, Mrs. J.S. Hurlburt, on Friday evening, January 12.
