My Husband's Grandfather

Charles was the son of Charles G. and Martha Bedell Emery. He was married 5 times. His first wife was Rose Davis, who died in 1915. They had a son, Charles. His second wife was Anna Goss, who died in 1920. Their children were Isabelle, Iona and James, who lived only a few days. His third wife was Emma Blodgett. His fifth and last wife was Phylena Stanhope. They were married the same day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
His 4th wife was my husband's grandmother Hazel Noyes, whom he married in 1927. She died in 1939 of intestinal cancer. They lived at 4 Costa Avenue in St. Johnsbury and had four children-Clyde, Clayton, Rose and Arlene.
Besides his children with Hazel, he was survived by children from other marriages: Charles Jr., Isabelle Howard and Iona McLaughlin, maybe some others I haven't found yet. He was also survived by several sisters-Lucy James, Ellen Lang and Martha Lang.
Charles was a carpenter.
