Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 26 or KAABA Shrine or Masonic Lodge Fraternal Order 221.
Tony was born July 7, 1929, in Tallula, Ill., a son of Floyd and Freda (Epperly) Belton. He served over 50 years as an operations engineer and union steward for Operating Engineers Local 180 prior to his retirement. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Davenport American Legion Post 26, KWVA Korean War Vets and the KAABA Shrine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Those left to honor his memory include his son, Michael (Pamela) Belton, Keokuk, Iowa; grandsons, Richard L. Gregory, Clinton, August D. Gregory, Keokuk, Iowa, and Brandon Belton, Waianae, Hawaii; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cecil "Bud" Belton, Springfield.
His parents, daughter, Sheila K. Gregory and sisters, Dorothy Taft and Shirley Barbie preceded him in death.
