Dorothy Neis, age 92, of St. Charles, died Friday at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, St. Charles. She was born June 29, 1912 in Aurora, IL.
She was employed by Ace Hardware Store in Aurora for several years. Also employed by Kaiser's Dime Store in St. Charles and Mill Creek Studios in St. Charles.
Survivors include one sister, L.Helene (Donald) Yurs of St. Charles; nieces and nephews, Charles (Marge) Ricketts, Lila (Jim) Elliot, Carol (George) Snyder, Mary (Gordon) Unruh, Tom (Eileen) Ricketts, David Rehm, Richard (Sally) Yurs; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1970; her parents, Charles and Laura Ricketts; one brother, Kenneth Ricketts; and a sister, Greta Tripp.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 AM Tuesday at the Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Aurora. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
