He was married three or four times: first to a Sarah Ann Mench with whom he had three or four children; he married his second wife in 1862, Sarah Ann Nice, who died in 1867; third, Christiana M (Landenberg) Barnstetter DeHaven, who died in 1875 and is buried at Mt. Moriah; and lastly, Anna Margaret Kohler, who remarried after George's death.
