Katharine Elizabeth Hennessey Aaron, 90, formerly of Leavenworth, Kansas, living at the West Shores Senior Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away in her sleep on January 21, 2013. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, February 1, 1923. Her father was Thomas A. Hennessey and her mother was Mary Victoria Heintzelman Hennessey. She was from a family of nine children, four brothers and five sisters. Four members of her family served in the armed forces. Four of the five sisters were Registered Nurses, including Katharine. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Prior to moving to Hot Springs two years ago, she was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in the Village, where she was a past president of the St. Elizabeth Guild.

Katharine was the mother of four sons, Gary of Phoenix, Arizona, Gregory of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Richard of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Jeffrey, who passed away in 1988. She had seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Ralph L. (Lee) Aaron, after a marriage of sixty-seven years.

She has a brother Linus living in Tuscon, Arizona and a sister Theresa Colin living in Fort Worth, Texas.

Interment will be at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Columbarium after a Memorial Mass to be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday with a 10:15 a.m. Rosary preceding the service.
