Pauline was a remarkable woman. She always welcomed you into her home and always insisted that you were fed before you left. Pauline was my aunt and what I remember the most is that when you would visit she always would prepare a care package for your journey home. She was management at a local fruit packing warehouse and would bring home the over ripe fruit that was heavenly to eat. Her and her husband John lived simply and struggled financially but they had their own way of letting you know that times were "Fine" regardless of the circumstances. I loved to stay over at their home for it was filled with love and acceptance. Pauline had a innocent way about her. She loved to talk like a little kid and it was infectious to all around her. She loved to make people laugh and always welcomed you with open arms and give the biggest hugs she was the one who would not judge. She accepted you for who you were. Her and her husband John welcomed all.
They were loved by so many for they knew how to love and show that love! Going to their home was enjoyed by young and old alike. I will forever miss her Home Made Chocolate Chip Pies and Chocolate Cake.
She was one of the most loveable person I had the pleasure of knowing.
Pauline and John Staley had three children.
Johnny,Stanley, & Brenda.
Stanly passed away August 29,2000. His passing proved to be to much for Pauline for her grieving was to much to handle and she passed away in her sleep exactly three months later. So many believed that she died from a broken heart. I will for ever miss her and her infectious nature. She will live forever in my heart.
I love you Aunt Polly!
