Cecil W. Brewer, age 80, of Pascagoula, passed away on July 12, 2006 at his home.
He was born June 19, 1926 in Richton, Miss. and has been a resident of Pascagoula for 26 years. In 1981, he retired from Rex Distributing Company in Biloxi after 26 years of employment. He was a member of V.F.W. and American Legion in Pascagoula. Mr. Brewer was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during WWII. He was also of the Mormon religion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Leona Brewer; former wife, Bonnie Brewer; two brothers, James and Earl Brewer; two sisters, Bobbie Bang and Elmeda Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Shirley Brewer, of Pascagoula; daughter, Carol Cannette (Mike), of Ocean Springs; son, Earl Wayne Brewer, of Ocean Springs; step-daughter, Deborah Stuart (Mark), Pascagoula; step-son, Fred Dyess, Pascagoula; two grand-children, Todd Cannette and Sharonda Ponder; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held on Saturday, July 15, 2006, 11:00am, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
Arrangement were made by O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS.
