Robert Burns Abbott, 89, passed away Saturday, July 14th in Orange Park, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years in 1995, Lillian Rose Abbott; son, Paul Robert Abbott. He is survived by his daughters, Kathryn Abbott Lewis (Phillip) and Patricia Hutchinson (Reed); two grandsons, Joseph Glisson, Jr. and Christopher Conn; sister, Martha Haines of Yuma, AZ; great niece, Jennifer Moore of Denver, CO; nephew, Stanley Abbott of Santa Fe, New Mexico and many friends and shipmates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mayo Clinic Foundation memory of Robert Burns Abbott, 4500 San Pablo Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32224. Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19th at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL.
