Ralph's parents were Gertrude Graystone and Alpheus Franklin Trogdon.

Ralph Graystone Trogdon, long-time resident of the Kansas City area, died Saturday, May 15, 1993 at Holmesdale Convalescent Center. Services were held at the South-Broadland Presbyterian Church with burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Mr. Trogdon received a law degree from the University of Kansas City School of Law in 1934. In 1952 he joined the law firm of Shughard, Thomson & Kilroy and spent the remainder of his career with the firm. Mr. Trogdon was president of the Board of Zoning Adjustment of Kansas City in the 1960's.

He was a deacon of his church, past president of the Kansas City Camera Club, the Color Slide Club of Kansas City, a member of the Ararat Shrine and a 32nd-degree Mason.

As a young man and member of DeMolay, Mr. Trogdon was a DeMolay Legion of Honor recipient. This is a distinction given to young men who have actively demonstrated outstanding leadership in some field of endeavor, whether it be a civic, professional, fraternal or spiritual arena."

Starting in his early teens and throughout his life, Mr. Trogdon was active in the Boys Scouts of America. He received his Eagle Scout award in 1926, was scoutmaster of Troop 144 from 1936 to 1948, was named Chieftain Heat Moon in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, and had received the Silver Beaver Award.

Mr. Trogdon was survived by his wife of 57 years, Maurine Christina Davis Trogdon, two sons, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
