Elden Oscar Haub, son of Oscar Jacob Haub and Margia Rebecca McClelland, was the twin of Eldred Haub who died at their birth. Elden, who hated to be mistaken as "Eldon" and who always said he wasn't a "Don" ... was the youngest of the three children Oscar and Margia raised.

Elden said the moment he saw those beautiful eyes belonging to Deloris Pagenkopf he knew he would love her forever. They married on 20 Feb 1942 in Sacramento where two of their three sons were born. Their third son was born in Modesto in 1948 where Dee and Elden raised their boys, watched them grow, marry, and have children of their own.

While grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of their lives, fishing was top of their list for fun. Dee and Elden purchased a small trailer at Lawson's Landing, Dillon Beach, CA in the mid 1960's which became the center of fishing outings for so many family members, in-laws, extended family members, and so many friends!

Every person who came in contact with "Haubie" as he was so affectionately called, can recall at least one fishing tale...or a few!
He was so loved, and is missed by so many.
