Richard WHITESELL

Born September 24, 1807 in PA to Benjamin and Catherine (Frey) Whitesell. He Passed away September 23, 1879 aged 71 years 11 months 29 days, less one day of his birthday. Cause of death was Apoplexy. He was buried in St. Johns Union Cemetery, Nazareth, Northampton Co., PA

Richard married Anne Maria (Schively) and had seven children; Anna Catherine, Jeremiah (mentally disabled) (deceased), Theodore, Tilghman, James Peter, Maria L. and Mary Jane (deceased). After the death of his wife Maria he married the widow, Mrs. Anne Utt, of Lower Mt. Bethel, on Jan. 3, 1856, at Nazareth. Together they owed and operated a tavern.
