He was born in Lewiston, on May 11, 1934, a son of the late Arthur Frederick and Annette (Burton) Baril. He lived his entire life in the Auburn area, attending local schools and graduating from Edward Little High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Keppler in the Korean War.
On March 15, 1958, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Robinson, in New Hampshire. Together, they lived and worked in Auburn, raising their family of eight children. He originally worked in the shoe factory business as a shoe stitcher before going to work at Pioneer Plastics as a machinist for 20 years before retiring in 1989.
He was also the founder and owner of Mid Maine Computers in the early 1980s. He was a CB radio buff, loved taking numerous pictures of family and friends, building various items with popsicle sticks, camping, but most of all he cherished his family time, especially with his beloved 18 grandchildren. He was truly loved and was an inspiration to his family and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Baril.
