Two freight cars, a baggage car and caboose also left the rails, but being heavier than the passenger unit, did not plunge outward. The freight cars, loaded with lumber, stopped on the ties on the trestle which spaas the creek. The caboose remained on Its wheels but plunged Into the right hand ditch.
