ADA - Services for Albert C. Bare, 46, Ada, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Ada Middle School Auditorium, the Rev. Steve Dighton conducting rites. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Bare died March 19, 1989, at his home. He was born April 7, 1942, in McAlester to Claude and Katherine Clark Bare. He graduated from McAlester High School in 1960 and moved to Ada to attend East Central University. Bare earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from ECU. He taught school in Holdenville in 1965-66 and began teaching school in Ada in 1966. He was serving as principal at Ada Middle School.
On Dec. 31, 1958, he married Janet Edge.
Survivors include his wife, Janet, of the home; two sons, Tommy Bare and Kenny Bare, both of Ada; one daughter, Tammy Meeks, Ada; his mother, Katherine Bare, Sand Springs, Okla.; two brothers, Charles Bare and Jim Bare, both of Sand Springs; one sister, Barbara Cheatham, Mustang, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Thomas Bare, Kyle Bare, Katie Bare, and Ryan Meeks, all of Ada.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Albert Bare Scholarship in care of the Ada Board of Education, P.O. Box 1359, Ada, Okla., 74820. Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
