PRINCETON - Ruth Ann Higginbotham, 65, of 26 Pisgah Lane, Princeton, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at her home.
Born Oct. 1, 1939 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Delphia Angle Basham of Princeton and the late Alva Basham.
Mrs. Higginbotham was of the Methodist faith and was retired from CVS Pharmacy in Athens. She enjoyed traveling and had toured several countries in Europe. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Basham.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth Higginbotham of the home; one son, David Higginbotham of Bear, Del.; two daughters, Beth Weekley and her husband Gary of Princeton and Michelle Pate and her husband Travis of Gastonia, N.C.; six grandchildren, Ashley Weekley, Stacy Weekley, Sara Higginbotham, Jordan Higginbotham, Alyssa Pate and Noah Pate.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Gregory Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
