A.B. Montgomery Rites Saturday
RUSSELLVILLE -- Austin B. Montgomery, 83, died Thursday at 5:40 p.m. at his residence. He had been ill for two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with Charlie Thorn officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Spry of Russellville directing.
He is survived by six sons, Paul Montgomery, Talladega, Elbert, Elmer, Wallace, Millard, Irving, all of Russellville; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Horton, Russellville, Mrs. Maggie Lee Mathews, both of Russellville; a brother, Thomas Montgomery, Tuscumbia; 31 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Austin was the son of James Madison Montgomery Jr. and Mary M. Chilcoat.
He was the spouse of Illar May Webb.
They were married September 15, 1901 in Franklin County, Alabama
