Paul Richard Miller, Sr.
January 5, 1934 - January 18, 2013

Age 79, a resident of Bertrand, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born January 5, 1934, at Wyatt, MO, to the late John N. "Buck" Miller and Mildred "Memie" Richardson Miller, he had lived in Charleston most of his life and was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Sikeston Elks Lodge and the American Legion, and had served 3 years in the Missouri National Guard.

On January 22, 1985, he married Della Rae Chase Davenport, who preceded him in death on April 4, 2012.

Surviving is: one son, Paul Richard "Ricky" Miller, Jr., of Mayo, FL; two daughters, Renee DeGarcia of Bertrand and Tina Skinner of East Prairie; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Thurman Miller and Rocky Martin Miller, one brother, James Norvel Miller; one sister, Barbara Ann Miller McDermott and by his first wife Nellie Thurman Miller.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. Ted Wimberley, pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church near Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow with full military rites provided by the Missouri Military Honors Program under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
