The funeral for Bessie Mae Anderson Crouse, 90, of 180 Spartan Circle, Ridgeway, who died Aug. 5, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway with the Rev. Bob Ford officiating. She will be buried in Roselawn Burial Park.
She was born Oct. 28, 1910, in Alleghany County, N.C., daughter of the late Donley and Venie Brineger Anderson. Also preceding her in death were her husband, James Walter Crouse; three brothers, Talmadge Bert Anderson, Golden Vance Anderson and Ray Mack Anderson; and one sister, Flora Anderson Frantz.
She was a member of Fontaine Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Zelma C. Finney of Ridgeway; three sisters, Cleo Anderson Long of Advance, N.C., Laura Keene of Quarryville, Pa., and Ruby Anderson Barnes of Ridgeway; one brother, Rudy Anderson of Eden, N.C.; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Services and other times at the home on Spartan Circle, Ridgeway.
