In May 1898 Fred and Emma left Oakfield, N.Y. where he had a watch and clock repair shop. They were on their bicycles headed for Arkansas where they settled in the vicinity of Wynne, Arkansas. He did watch and clock repair work in town as well as farming until 1905.
From 1905 to Feb 1909 they lived on a farm near Oakfield, N.Y., then moved to Marysville, KS. Fred owned and operated jewelry stores doing repair work himself until the Spring of 1918. From Marysville he moved to Nebraska working at several jobs. During WWII he returned to clock repairing having his shop in his home in Lincoln, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Rosanna. He is survived by his wife, Emma, and seven children; Fred Almeron, Ruth, Lydia, Vernon, Vera, Ethel, and Lois.
