Margaret Louis Hendrix was born February 2, 1923, in Davenport, a daughter of Lester and Nellie (Rayburn) Hendrix. She was united in marriage to Harold Atwood on September 14th, 1945. He preceded her in death April 29, 1984.
In earlier years Margie had worked as a waitress at the Col Ballroom. She then retired in 1985 from the former Davenport Club, after 21 years of service. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, crafts, bird watching, traveling and most of all, bowling.
Memorials can be made to either the Good Samaritan Center or Park View Lutheran Church.
Margie is survived by children; a daughter, Gloria Fahrenkrug, Davenport and her son, Richard (Gina) Atwood, Eldridge; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Groenbeck, Lost Nation and Betty Roe, Buffalo, Iowa; as well as numerous other loving family members.
Her parents, husband Harold, five sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
