Mrs. Mary A Coombs 80, of 1628 Walnut St, Chester, died Tuesday in Riddle Memorial Hospital, Middletown, after a long illness.
Mrs. Coombs, a life long Chester resident, was the widow of George E Coombs.
She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Chester.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs Josephine Leonard of Chester, Mrs. Louise Loveland of Ridley Park and Mrs Margaretta Clark and Mrs. Dorothy Kane both of Brookhaven; two sons Robert M Coombs of Chester and George E of Woodlyn, Ridley Township; a sister Margaretta McCrystle of Chester, and 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Imschweiler-Brower Funeral Home, 1600 Edgemont Ave, Chester. Burial will be in the Chester Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening at the funeral home.
