He was a son of Howard and Ana Belle Mummert of Gettysburg.
Mr. Mummert was a member of the New Life Christian Church. He taught for 26 years with the Prince William County Schools.
He was the husband of Cheryl Mummert and surviving, in addition to her and also his parents, are three children, Mandi McFadden of Warrenton, VA, Andrew Mummert of Bristow, VA, and Abby Mummert of Manassas, VA; two step-children, Christina Tassa and Katherine Tassa, both of Manassas, VA; two grandchildren; and one sister, Diane Yerkey of Pennsylvania.
