This book provides excellent, detailed information on the CHRISTIAN SNIDOW family lineage. It traces all of the descendants of Christian Snidow (originally Schneider) and his wife Susanna Margretta, who sailed with his two brothers (Matheis and Jacob) from England to America in 1729 on the ship "Allen" from their roots in northern Switzerland to Holland, England, Philadelphia, Lancaster County, VA, and beyond. Included are photographs, estate appraisals, quotes of wills, and an account of an Indian attack on Snidow children playing at New River.
NOTE: George Snidow descends from Jacob.
For John Lybrooks' account of the Shawnee Indian attack of 1774, refer to:

This family drama was frightening and tragic. Its telling today is just as fresh and dramatic as it was at the time it took place.
