Bertha Maude Addis
Bertha Maude Addis, 92, of Costa Mesa, Calif., died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1988, at the Beverly Manor Nursing Home there. She and her husband farmed on Route 78 in Stark County for many years. She was a member of the West Jersey United Methodist Church.
Born Oct. 27, 1895, in West Jersey Township, daughter of Frank and Mary Jane (Cree) Chamberlain, she married Earl Addis who died in 1959. Also preceding her in death were one son, one grandson and two brothers.
Surviving are two grandchildren in California. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 26, at Kidd Funeral Home in Toulon with Rev. Von L. Waggoner of West Jersey Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the West Jersey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church.

Waggoner of West Jersey United Methodist Church officiating. Mary Ann Ely was organist and burial was in West Jersey Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Cliff Allen, Roger Nowlan, Harold Webster, Harold Ely, Dick Chamberlain and Jim Addis.
