HENDERSON, Ky. -- Fielden Eugene "Gene" Skaggs, 54, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Redbanks Nursing Home of respiratory failure.

He had worked at J-Ron Machine and Tool Inc.

He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Eddie R. of Henderson; his mother, Katherine L. Skaggs of Henderson; two sisters, Carolyn Griffin of Reed and Sherry McDaniel of Henderson; a brother, Lonnie of West Haven, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
