Frank Coddington, aged 80, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home in Clear Creek township, a mile east of the Clear Creek school. He had been ailing for several years and was serious for about six months.
Mr. Coddington was born September 13, 1858, in Sidney township, Champaign county, Ill., to Benjamin and Delia Coddington. He married Nancy L. Eggleston December 4, 1890.
Surviving are the widow; a son Fred C. Coddington, Clear Creek township; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie M. Brown, South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Cotton, Homer, Ill. Seven grandchildren also survive. A daughter, Alice Coddington, and a son, Harold Coddington, preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the home of the son, Fred Coddington, where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. I. E. Longenbaugh officiation. The funeral cortege will leave at 6 a.m. Friday for Homer, Ill., where graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. with burial in the Homer cemetery.
