Peter A. Lounsbury, Sr., 68, of Framingham, died at home on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was the loving husband of 47 years to Susan Jane (Doig) Lounsbury of Framingham. Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Grout) Lounsbury. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during Vietnam from 1963 to 1967. He was employed by Digital/Intel at the Hudson Semi Conductor Plant for 28 years as an engineer. He was a proud volunteer for the American Cancer Society Road for Recovery. He was an avid photographer and genealogy enthusiast. Besides his wife Susan, he is survived by his son Peter A. Lounsbury, Jr. and his wife Lynne of Franklin, his daughter Heather Lounsbury and her husband Mark Lysaght of Framingham, his daughter Amy Moore and her husband Brian R. of Ashland; Six grandchildren, Trevor and Caroline Lounsbury both of Franklin, Zachary and Henry Lysaght both of Framingham and Isabella and Samantha Moore both of Ashland. He is also survived by his siblings, David and Maryann Lounsbury of Winthrop, Arthur and Carole Lounsbury of Sanford, ME, Dorothy and Robert Meyer of Jefferson, ME and Robert and Wendy Lounsbury of Augusta, ME. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews all of whom he adored. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, January 23, at 10 AM in Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Rd., Framingham Centre. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, (corner of Union Ave) Framingham, will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society National Office, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave, Suite 310, White Plains, NY 10605 or to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
