A Mexico resident who died at a hospital in Oswego.
Mrs. Jessie S. Kellogg, 71, widow of Fred L. Kellogg and one of Mexico's best known residents, died Saturday morning in Oswego hospital after an illness of 10 days. She was born in Cardiff, N.Y., the daughter of the late George and Jennie Coulter Button. Prior to her marriage to Mr. Kellogg, she resided in Syracuse but had been a resident of Mexico for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Mexico Methodist church and its societies. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harry Case of Norwich, Mrs. Louise Staplin of Albany and Mrs.
Olin Backus of Mexico; two sons, Supervisor George Kellogg and Frederick Kellogg, both of Mexico. Burial was in Mexico village cemetery.
