Edgar Smith was my grandfather. He emigrated from England in 1921 and fought for England in WW1. He used to tell me stories from his Army experiences and show me old maps of the Middle East. He was a bricklayer by trade and helped build Greenbelt, MD in the late 1930's. We used to take walks together and he would pick mushrooms in the park.
