THE SPRINGFIELD SUN. R.M. BADGETT SERVICES HELD SATURDAY.

Funeral services for Richard M. Badgett, 74, were conducted at Holy Trinity Church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, the pastor Rev. Joseph Glick officiating. Interment was in St. Rose Cemetery.

A widely known farmer and for several years a maintenance foreman for the Stat Department of Highways, Mr. Badgett died at 6:30 p.m., Thursday., January 18, 1962, at his home near Fredericktown of complications.

The body was prepared at the Hale & Polin Funeral Home here and removed Friday afternoon to the family home to await rites.

Surviving Mr. Badgett are his wife, formerly Miss Susie Wathen; one daughter, Mrs. Damian Blandford; two sons, Thomas and William Badgett, three sisters, Mrs. Walter Mattingly, Mrs. T. W. O'Bryan and Mrs. Leo Hill, all of Washington County, two brothers, Walter Badgett, this county , and Parker Badgett, Lebanon, and a half-sister, Mrs. Spencer Hamilton, Loretto.

Honorary pallbearers were George Haydon, Tink Barber, Lloyd Thompson, Booker Noe, W. T. Leachman, Bob Hamilton, Louis Osborne, Coy Hamilton, Alex Barber, Cecil McMillin, and Frank Osborne.

Casket bearers were Jerry Hamilton, Junior O'Bryan, Joe Badgett, Tom Medley, Tom Mattingly and Marvin Medley.
