Willits, CA - A man killed his wife and three children then shot himself, ending his life as well. The bodies were found Thursday morning in the family's home in this timber town north of San Francisco. William Arthur "Bruce" Sweazey, 33 shot himself in the chest with a handgun after killing his wife, Barbara Ann, 32; his sons, Joshua Bruce, 12, Jacob Robert, 9; and his 11 month old daughter, Zechariah Heath, (Zechariah was a son, not a daughter) police said. Neighbors, co-workers and Sweazey's boss said Sweazey - a heavy equipment mechanic and a logging truck driver - had been depressed and had been hearing voices during the past year, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat said today.

Note: This was a difficult decision for me to post this story, these were real people and there are still family and friends alive and mourning their untimely death. I never met this family but they mean something to me, it is rare a day goes by that I don't think about them. Given this happened almost two decades ago and thus not current events I made the decision to post it here and only here on Bruce's memorial because the story is factual. May time help heal those who are still mourning and may those who left this world woefully soon rest in eternal peace.
