Graveside services for Mr. A.B. "Buck" Arnold will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Dry Prong Cemetery, Dry Prong with Reverend Chuck Evans and Reverend Ray Ford officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Arnold, age 84, of Dry Prong went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, P.C. and Mattie Arnold; three brothers, W.A. (Wes) Arnold, Mayo Arnold and Curt Arnold; three sisters, Pearl Pace, Myrtle Crenshaw, Genia Arnold.

"Mr. Buck" was born January 1, 1924 to Mr. P.C. and Mrs. Mattie Arnold of Dry Prong. He worked as a logger and later served as an equipment operator for the United States Forest Service, Kisatchie National Forest, Catahoula Ranger District, where he retired after 31 years of service to the American people. He enjoyed music and played the fiddle, winning several championships. He also loved horseback riding and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a kind, gentle and wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone who knew him.

Mr. Buck is survived by his wife JoAnne Arnold of Dry Prong; one son, Joseph Arnold of Dry Prong; one brother, Bob Arnold of Bentley; also survived by many nephews, nieces and in-laws.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on August 5, 2008 at Dry Prong Cemetery, Dry Prong, Louisiana.
