Survivors include a brother, Marion Taylor of Danville; six sisters, Harriet Bixler of Edina, Minn., Margaret Leathers of Texaco, Mary Snyder, Phyllis Emberton and Verda Mitsdarffer, all of Atwood, and Wanda Schuster of Morrisville, Mo.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Mrs. Ayres was a member of the Bourbon Baptist Church. She worked for Progress Industries in Arthur for 20 years and was a correspondent for the Atwood Herald and Tuscola Review newspapers.
