SANGER--Services for Effie Marie Avery, 76, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wallin & Son Chapel. Burial will be at Sanger District Cemetery.
Mrs. Avery died Sunday.
She was a native of Arkansas and Oklahoma. She was a longtime Sanger resident and a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Edgar, two sons, John Ash and Lawrence Ash, both of Riverside; two sisters, Dorothy Walker of Washington and Maggie Walden of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the chapel.

Effie Marie Owen was born September 29, 1907 in Arkansas to Lawton Milton and Dona Frances "Donnie" Boswell Owen.
She was one of twelve children born to this couple. Six daughters and six sons.
She was raised in Hominy, Oklahoma and was first married to Francis "Frank" W.Ash, about 1929. They lived in the Joplin, Missouri area. Effie and Frank had 3 sons: Lawrence Ash abt 1930; John Richard Ash abt 1933; and Patrick Julius Ash 1934-1950.
She moved to California, later marrying Edgar Eli Avery, October 16, 1969, Reno, Nevada.
