Alexandria C. ( Bujnicki ) Abucewicz, 85, of Methuen, a former longtime employee at the veterans hospital in Bedford who was an active member of a Lowell parish, died Tuesday evening, Aug. 24, 2004 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. She was the wife of Joseph A. Abucewicz, who died in 1971.

She was born on June 21, 1919, in Hazelton, Pa., a daughter of the late Anthony and Berniece (Oldak) Bujnicki. She received her education in Hazelton.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Abucewicz had been a medical aids procurement specialist at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell and was an active member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Sodality as well as the church's senior citizens group.

She was survived by a daughter, a son, a son-in-law, and a sister.
She also left a brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
