OBITUARY :
MARIAN DeLAUTER, 75, of Sabillasville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, in her home after a lengthy illness.

Born July 18, 1924, in Rocky Ridge, Md., she was a daughter of the late Roy and Grace Bollinger Valentine.

She and her husband, Edwin DeLauter, had been married for 47 years.

Mrs. DeLauter was a member of the United Church of Christ and enjoyed working in the church.

She was also a member of Thurmont Senior Citizens and liked to travel.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sharon Firme of Gettysburg and Brenda Frey of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Eleanor Ohler of Thurmont and Esther DeLauter of Sabillasville.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jacob's United Church of Christ, 495 Harbaugh Valley Road, Fairfield, with her pastor, the Rev. William Kauffman officiating. Private burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice or Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, Md. 21702.
