Lancey R. Tennant, 77 of Route 2 Fairview, died in his home early yesterday morning Sept. 13, 1979. He was born April 10, 1902 in Monongalia County, where he lived most of his life, the son of the late John L. Tennant and Georgia Sine Tennant. He is survived by his wife, Louise Baigi Sine Tennant, a step son, Martin J. Sine, Fairview; five brothers, Bill, Mose, Johnny, Joe and Rich, all of Rt. 2 Fairview; four sisters; Mrs. Della Hixenbaugh, Mrs. Mabel Hamilton, Mrs. Ella Hamilton all of Fairview; and Mrs. Ida Day, Morgantown; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Four brothers, two sisters and one daughter, Alice Fletcher are deceased. He was retired from Eastern Gas and Fuel of Grant Town. Burial was at the Tennant Cemetery on the home farm.
