MEDFORD - Mrs. William (Pelagia P.) Adamczuk, 87, formerly of the Town of Little Black, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Nursing Home, Medford, where she resided the past 2 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Apostolic Church, Town of Maplehurst. The Revs. Henry Gereau and Bill Schreffler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time, at the church.

The former Pelagia P. Koltalo was born May 1, 1897 in the Ukraine. At the age of 17 she immigrated to Halifax, New Brunswick, Canada, and on Nov. 11, 1916 in Fort William, Canada she was married to William Adamczuk. He died Feb. 6, 1979. In 1917 she moved with her husband to Milwaukee and in 1932 they moved to Taylor County and farmed. Later they settled on a farm in the Town of Little Black, where she lived until entering the nursing home.

A member of Apostolic Church, she is survived by three sons, Daniel of Town of Little Black, Joseph of Lake Mills, and Russell of Lemon Grove, Calif.; three grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and other relatives in the Ukraine area of Russia and in Canada. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Bernice, and a son, Eugene.
