Allen Carl Hendrix, 77, Seattle, Wash., a former resident of St. Joseph, died Monday afternoon Feb. 2, 1987, at a Seattle medical center following a lengthy illness.
A retired plumber, he was a native of Missouri and had resided in St. Joseph before moving to Seattle.
Surviving are his wife Loy Thelma Hendrix of the Home; three sons, Allen F. Hendrix, Los Angeles, Calif., Thomas W. Hendrix, College, Alaska, and Marlon D. Hendrix, residing in California; two daughters, Alice Schwartz, Seattle, and Serena Loy Hendrix, San Diego, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ed Ralph Hendrix, St. Joseph, Harry Hendrix, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Marlon Hendrix, St. Paul, Minn, and Donald Hendrix, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Ethel Shreve, Kansas City, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Bleitz funeral home, Seattle, where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3.
The body will be removed to the Meierhoffer-Fleeman funeral home, arriving here Tuesday. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
