Marciano Lantin Aguilera, 85, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his Woodland residence. Born on Jan. 24, 1924, in Malvar, in the Batangas province of the Philippines, to Victor and Maria (Lantin) Aguilera, Marciano was employed as a truck driver for more than 67 years, until moving to Woodland in 1989, when he began his employment with Yolo County Green Thumb.
Mr. Aguilera is survived by his wife Iluminada Aguilera of Woodland; daughters, Norma, Sylvia, Marissa, and Isabel; sons, Danilo, Cesar, Nestor, Arnold, and Edwin. He also leaves 22 grandchildren.
Services: A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the Woodland Family Worship Center, 386 W. Beamer St. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Memorial contributions may be directed to Yolo Hospice, or Holy Rosary Church in his memory. Assisting the family with arrangements is Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland.
