Bill Adams, age 87, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away Tuesday January 29, 2013 at North Village Park Care Center in Moberly, Missouri
Bill was born February 27 1925, in Armstrong, Missouri, a son of the late John Milton and Karleen (Lewis) Adams.
He attended Salisbury High School in Salisbury Missouri.
Bill was united in marriage on October 3, 1948 in Salisbury Missouri to Jean Anne Jackson who preceded him in death on September 26, 1991.
Bill was a grocey Clerk for many years and retired as Head Clerk at Safeway Grocery Store in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Bill was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Assn.the Missouri Campers Assn., the Mid Mo Campers, the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the First Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing and traveling in R.V's
Bill is survived by two sons, John E. Adams (Carol) Deakyne of Columbia, Missouri, Paul W. Adams (Laura) of Marthasville, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Belle Case of Salisbury, Missouri, Betty Guilford Imgarten of Glasgow, Missouri; two step-grandchildren, Ryan Moeller (Caty) of Columbia, Missouri and Celsea Moeller of Augusta, Maine; one step-great-granddaughter, Rogan Alice Moeller of Columbia, Missouri;
He was also preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty-three years, Jean Anne; seven brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 12:00-2:00p.m. Saturday, Febuary 2, 2013, at the Houser Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, February 2 2013, at the funeral home with Reverend Donald E. Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
