Eugene R. Kohr, 80, of Lebanon passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Potrok) Kohr.
Born in Jonestown, PA on September 22, 1932, Eugene was a son of the late Kermit K. and Eva (Gettle) Kohr.
He retired in 1994 from the former Raymark Industries. Eugene was a member of the Church of St. Cecilia in Lebanon; a life member of the VFW Post 23, and the Friendship Fire Co. He enjoyed traveling, driving sprint cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War era.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Barbara, wife of Warren Laudermilch; Sandra Kohr; Gregory, husband of Melissa Kohr; and Brian, husband of Miriam Kohr. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Barbara, wife of the late Richard Barlett and Shirley, wife of Stanley Kreider; 4 brothers: Edward, husband of Janet Kohr, Frederick, husband of Sandy Kohr, and Barry and Melvin Kohr. 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Gregory, 2 brothers: Kenneth and Larry and 1 sister, Evelyn.
Memorial Service Monday at 10 am at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation Monday morning from 9-10 at the funeral home.
