THE SPRINGFIELD SUN, page 10, Thursday, November 12, 1931. DEATH CALL TO AGED BACHELOR. Died Friday Morning at St. Rose of Infirmities Incident to Old Age Funeral Service and Burial Saturday Morning.
Following a protracted illness of infirmities incident to age. Mr. Francis Marion Cecil, age eighty-four years died Friday morning November 6, 1931, at St. Rose where he had for several years been engaged as farm overseer. Funeral service[s] were held at St. Rose Church Saturday morning, interment being in the church cemetery.
The son of Wash Cecil, deceased was born and reared in the county. He had been engaged in farming most of his life and always took an active interest in politics, being a Democrat of the old school.
Mr. Cecil is survived by two sisters, Mrs. George Thompson, Louisville and a Mrs. Joe Higdon of this county.
