ASHTABULA — Ernest "Ernie" Fedor, 85, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 27, 2013, in the Hospice Unit at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Jan. 10, 1928, in Monroe Township, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Emery) Fedor.
Mr. Fedor was a Veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne, and also the Merchant Marines. He worked for Sears Department Store in sales for 44 years, and was the deputy director of the Ashtabula County Board of Elections for 37 years.
He was a member of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Churches in Conneaut, the American Legion Cowle Post #151, the Monroe Athletic Club and had been a past member of the Conneaut Moose and Eagles Clubs. Ernie served as Chaplain of the Legion Honor Guard for many years.
He enjoyed baseball, which he played until he was 49, playing guitar, bowling, fishing in the Conneaut Creek and camping at Blue Bell.
Survivors include his son, Jeffery E. (Debra Guerini) of Conneaut; his daughters, Sandra Vickery of Conneaut, Beverly (Rafael) Fedor-Garcia of Fairview Park, Ohio, and Brenda (Wally) Warren of Panama City, Fla.; his brother, Edward Fedor of Conneaut; his grandchildren, Tammy (Rick) Allen of Conneaut, Stephanie (Chris) Kelley of Clayton, N.C., Mike (Shelley) Warren of Conneaut, Shelli (Todd) Sandberg of Columbus, Amanda Warren of Panama City, Fla., Maia Garcia-Fedor of Cleveland, Seth and Dylan Fedor and Cole and Ally Tattrie, all of Conneaut; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois A. Fedor in 1996; his son, Joseph Fedor; his sister, Julia Bellas; and brothers, John, Joe, William, Steve, Charles, Paul, Frank and Jim Fedor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 31st, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 480 State St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Fr. Philip Miller presiding. Burial will follow in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township, Ohio, with Full Military Honors provided by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call TODAY, Wednesday, Jan. 30th, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is in charge of arrangements.
Contributions may be made to St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Churches or the Animal Protective League. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home and the Church.

1. Willliam D Fedor was born in PA 2 Jan 1915 and died in Ashtabula Co. OH in Jan 1980. He married Ruth A Renter (b 1919, dau of Harry Renter and Edith Henk) on 1 Mar 1952 in Ashtabula Co.
2. Stephen Fedor was born in PA on 4 Jan 1919 and died in Ashtabula Co in Apr 1981
3. John A Fedor was born in Youngstown OH on 16 June 1920 and died on 5 May 2011 in Conneaut. He is buried in Kelloggsville Cemetery in Ashtabula Co. OH. He married Lillian Frankhauser on 3 Mar 1945. They had five children including Larry T Fedor (1949-2014).
4. Frank M Fedor was born in Butler PA on12 June 1922 and died in Euclid OH on 20 Sep 2011. His wife Marian B Kuzma (1926-2010) was the dau of Emil Kuzma and Anna Felsko. Frank and Marian were married 2 Oct 1948 in Ashtabula Co and had three children.
5. Charles Joseph Fedor was born in PA in 1924 and died in Conneaut OH on 9 Oct 1981. He married Elizabeth Jane Hopkins on 6 July 1946 in Ashtabula Co. OH. She was the daughter of William Hopkins and Jane Adamson.
6. James Fedor was born in 1925 in OH and his wife's name was Irene.
7. Edward E Fedor was born in OH in 1926. He married Angeline R Parma on 29 Nov 1947 in Ashtabula Co OH, dau of Joe Parma and Jennie Valenti.
