Sophia Haave was born in September 1849 in Hommelvik, Sor-Trondelag, Norway. She married Peter Peterson Sollie in Norway. The couple emigrated to America and arrived in New York City on June 4, 1888. They were accompanied by their five children, Peter, Martin, Edward, Petra and Olga. Sophia lived in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter, son Martin and daughter Elydia. She was survived by sons Peter, and Edward and daughters Petra, Olga and Mable. Their daughter Olga married Peter Andrews making Sophia and Peter Sollie, the grandparents of the big band singing trio known as "The Andrews Sisters", who were famous during World War II and known as "America's War Time Sweethearts."
